Mrs. Angela Batts-Petite
Assistant Principal
Angela is currently in her second year as an Assistant Principal, proudly serving the Stop Six community where she has dedicated the last eight years of her educational career. Her journey in education began as a first-year biology teacher and cheer coach, and she progressed through roles as a freshman success coach before stepping into school administration.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Texas State University and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. As a Fort Worth native, she is deeply committed to supporting the students and families in her community.
Her educational philosophy centers on the belief that all students can learn and all educators can grow, we just have to bridge the gap. This principle guides her approach to both student development and teacher support as she works to create an environment where everyone can thrive.
When not at school, she cherishes spending time with her spouse and her 5-year-old son, Landen Drake, who remind her daily of the importance of family and the joy of learning together.

Dr. Deanne Young

Before her transition to FWISD Dr. Young gained experience as a Middle School, High School, and College Mathematics Instructor for 15 years.
She obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University. Both her Master’s Degree and Doctorate of Education in Mathematics were earned at Kennesaw State University. Dr. Young’s goal is to help build stronger students, families, and communities through community service and educational experiences.
